SHOPIAN: Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti Shopian today organised an awareness cum interactive programme on gender sensitization at AWC Matujan Shopian. The session focused on educating women about their rights, improving health and nutrition, and fostering a supportive community environment.
On the occasion, people were also made aware of gender issues, promoting gender equality, and challenging gender stereotypes. It further sought to change attitudes, behaviours, and beliefs that perpetuate discrimination and inequality based on gender.
Through education and training, participants were encouraged to understand the social constructs of gender, recognize gender biases, and foster a more inclusive and equitable environment for all genders.
