GANDERBAL: As part of the ongoing Sewa Parv celebrations, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore today inaugurated a medical screening camp under the 'Swastha Nari, Sashakt Parivar' Abhiyan (SNSPA) at District Hospital Ganderbal.

Specialized services such as maternal and child care, screening for non-communicable diseases, and adolescent health counselling were also offered.

Awareness sessions on nutrition, hygiene, and preventive healthcare practices were conducted to promote healthy lifestyles. Speaking on the occasion, DC highlighted the camp was organized under Sewa Parv to empower women by offering free health screenings and consultations thereby contributing to the vision of a healthy and empowered society, urging the public to actively participate in such initiatives.

On the occasion, DC also distributed Health Cards among beneficiaries. Later, he inspected various facilities at District Hospital including the Blood Bank, Medical Store, and Jan Aushadhi Kendra to review the availability of essential medicines.  He also directed the MS DH to explore the possibility of establishing an attendant shed in the hospital premises, a long-standing demand of the public.
