REASI: The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan is gaining momentum in Reasi district under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik. To intensify the campaign, the district administration today launched an Orientation drive (Village Level) for village nodal officers, VLWs, Sahyogis, Self Help Groups (SHGs), NRLM members, tribal leaders, women, youth and other stakeholders.

The orientation drive will witness a series of grassroots-level activities, including Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercises, transect walks, habitation-level discussions, village meetings, Gram Sabhas, exercises for gap identification and formulation of Village Action Plans. These initiatives aim to foster community participation and ensure inclusive planning.

Earlier, two day Block Level Orientation Programmes were conducted by the Block Development Officers (BDOs) at block headquarters with the involvement of concerned departments, Aadi Sathis and Aadi Sahyogis, besides participation from the District Prabhari Officer, Ministry of Tribal Affairs Mr Shiv and district-level master trainers.

On October 2, special Gram Sabhas will be organized across the district for the approval of Village Action Plans (Vision-2030). Speaking on the occasion, DC Nidhi Malik emphasized the importance of ensuring the active involvement of marginalized groups, including women, youth, elders, landless families, laborers and shepherds in all activities. She stressed that their voices must be reflected in the Village Action Plans to ensure inclusive development.

She further added that tribal leaders, youth, women, elders, and community representatives are actively contributing to shape the Vision 2030 for their villages. The preparation and submission of detailed Village Action Plans are being carried out strictly as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.

Meanwhile, the District Prabhari Officer interacted with students of Degree College Reasi and encouraged them to actively participate in the Abhiyan, thereby strengthening the role of youth in grassroots governance and development. The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan in Reasi continues to make significant strides toward empowering tribal communities, ensuring participatory planning and building sustainable futures.
