GANDERBAL: In continuation of its efforts to inspire youth through educational and patriotic initiatives, Police in Ganderbal organized a Seminar-cum-Debate Competition at Government Degree College Kangan on the theme “Sardar Patel’s vision of Rural Development and India’s Growth.” The event was presided over by SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS.

The debate featured engaging discussions on two sub-themes, “Formation of India’s Bureaucracy: The Role of Sardar Patel” and “Sardar Patel’s Economic Vision of India.” Students and participants eloquently presented their perspectives, highlighting Sardar Patel’s pivotal contribution to building a unified administrative framework and his foresight in shaping India’s economic foundation.

In his address, SSP Ganderbal lauded the participants for their thoughtful presentations and underlined that Sardar Patel’s visionary leadership, commitment to unity, and focus on rural and administrative empowerment continue to guide India’s progress. He encouraged students to uphold the values of integrity, discipline, and public service exemplified by Sardar Patel and to stay away from negative influences such as drug abuse.

The event was attended by senior police officers, college faculty members, students, and local dignitaries who appreciated Ganderbal Police’s efforts in promoting youth engagement through intellectual and cultural platforms. At the conclusion of the event, all participants were felicitated with appreciation certificates and cash prizes in recognition of their outstanding performance and participation.

This initiative is part of J&K Police’s broader community outreach program aimed at empowering youth through education, awareness, and civic responsibility. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to J&K Police for organizing an inspiring and informative program dedicated to the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
