HANDWARA: With an aim to safeguard the health and well-being of its personnel, Police in Handwara organized a Medical Camp at Police Lines Handwara in collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara and Primary Health Centre (PHC) Chogal.

During the camp, a team of doctors and paramedical staff conducted free medical check-ups for police personnel. The health assessments included general examinations and advice on preventive healthcare measures. The initiative provided an opportunity for officers and officials to undergo necessary check-ups, ensuring early detection of health issues and promoting a culture of health awareness.

A large number of police personnel benefitted from the camp. The medical team also sensitized them about maintaining a healthy lifestyle despite the challenges of police duty. The police personnel were evaluated on a range of health indicators to determine their heath statuses and facilitate timely medical intervention wherever required. A phase wise check-up of all the police personnel in Handwara shall be undertaken with the aid of medical teams in the coming days and progress on important health indicator will also be monitored to keep the personnel fit and motivated.

Speaking on the occasion, senior Police Officers expressed gratitude to the medical teams from GMC Handwara and PHC Chogal for their support. They reiterated that the welfare of police personnel remains a top priority and assured that similar health-oriented programmes will continue to be organized in the days ahead whereby all the police personnel will be assessed by the team of health experts in a phase wise manner.
