ANANTNAG: The Police Drug De-Addiction Centre Anantnag conducted an awareness-cum-drug abuse prevention programme at Higher Secondary School Brakpora, attended by more than 300 students.

During the session, experts discussed various aspects of drug abuse, with special focus on peer pressure, mental health stigma, anger management, stress management, time management, and the importance of assertiveness in making healthy life choices.

An interactive question-and-answer session enabled students to discuss concerns related to family dynamics and their impact on daily life. The programme was well received by the participants, who appreciated the practical solutions and real-life insights shared during the session.

The school authorities appreciated the initiative and requested similar awareness programmes for parents to further strengthen community efforts against substance abuse. J&K Police remains committed to promoting a drug-free and healthy society through sustained awareness and prevention initiatives.
