PULWAMA: Continuing its sustained efforts under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, Police in Pulwama carried out a cannabis destruction drive at Wangan Bagh, Nehama, as part of its campaign against the cultivation and spread of narcotic substances.

During the drive, cannabis plants growing over approximately 8.5 kanals of land were identified and destroyed in accordance with the prescribed procedure. The land was found to be owned by Hilal Ahmad, Zulal Ahmad, and Muzaffar Ahmad, residents of Aloochibagh, Srinagar.

During the verification process, it was ascertained that the owners had not visited or attended to the property for several months. The cannabis plants growing on the land were subsequently destroyed on the spot to prevent their misuse and proliferation.

J&K Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance approach against narcotics and continues to take proactive measures under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan to eradicate the drug menace from society.
