BARAMULLA:  National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), J&K, with support of Government Polytechnic College, Baramulla, today flagged-off a batch of 30 participants for an exposure visit to a Solar Plant. The exposure visit is being organized as part of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) – PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY) programme being implemented by NIESBUD in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

The initiative aims to provide participants first-hand technical experience of solar plant operations, thereby bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application. Speaking on the occasion, Principal, Government Polytechnic College Baramulla, said, “Renewable energy is the need of the hour, and such exposure visits play a vital role in motivating our youth to take up green technologies and contribute to a sustainable future.”

Through such initiatives, NIESBUD is committed to promoting skill development and entrepreneurship in the renewable energy sector, enabling youth to explore emerging opportunities in the green economy.
