DODA: The formal launching ceremony of Nasha Mukt Saptah (Anti-Drug Abuse Week) commenced today at the DC Office Complex Doda under the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The campaign will be observed from 17 June to 26 June 2026, culminating on the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking observed globally on 26 June. It aims to intensify awareness of the harmful consequences of drug abuse and encourage active participation of youth, educational institutions, government departments, civil society organisations and the community at large.

During the campaign period, awareness programmes, outreach activities, seminars, rallies, counselling sessions and community engagement initiatives will be conducted across the district.

A Nasha Mukt Pledge was administered by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Doda, wherein participants reaffirmed their commitment to protecting themselves and society from the menace of drug abuse. The ADC underscored the significance of a collaborative and sustained approach involving government agencies, educational institutions and the community in eradicating this social menace. Among those present were ACR Doda, ACP Doda, CAO, AO DC Office Doda and TSWO, besides district officers and officials from various departments.
