RAJOURI: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma, a series of impactful awareness programs were organized in various blocks of Rajouri district under the banner of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. These events, part of a concerted effort to combat drug abuse drew enthusiastic participation from the public. The events were held in different blocks including Thanamandi, Budhal Old, Doongi, Panjgrain, Rajouri, Sunderbani and in MC Sunderbani.

The events attracted significant participation from the general public who actively engaged in discussions and activities designed to generate awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. The programs featured resource persons from multiple departments, who provided valuable insights into the detrimental effects of substance abuse. The focus was not only on the health implications but also on the profound societal impacts, particularly how it undermines the future of the youth. The sessions underscored the importance of maintaining a drug-free lifestyle and highlighted how every individual can contribute to building a stronger and healthier nation.

At MC Sunderbani, Executive Officer Ashiq Rafiq Malik delivered a compelling address to the community, illustrating how substance abuse not only devastates individual health but also erodes the social fabric—urging everyone to stand together in defense of a drug-free society.

The District Administration Rajouri is committed to continuing this important initiative, with more such camps and awareness drives planned in the upcoming months. Collaborations with various stakeholders will ensure the message of a drug-free society reaches every corner of the district. The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan prioritizes building a united front against addiction, empowering youth and strengthening the societal fabric by emphasizing shared responsibility in securing a healthier and drug-free future for all.
