JAMMU: MY Bharat Jammu, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, organised a cycling rally on the occasion of World Bicycle Day in collaboration with Nations Development Association (NDA), ABVP Jammu Unit, and Cycling Group Bishnah.

The rally saw the participation of 38 young volunteers who cycled from Bishnah Market to Ring Road, Chak Bana, promoting the message of fitness, environmental sustainability, and healthy living.

The initiative aimed to encourage cycling as an affordable, eco-friendly, and efficient mode of transportation while motivating young people to adopt active lifestyles. Participants also interacted with local residents, spreading awareness about the health and environmental benefits associated with regular cycling.

Speaking on the occasion, Sushil Singh Chark highlighted that MY Bharat is observing World Bicycle Day across districts nationwide to support the Fit India movement and inspire greater youth participation in physical activities. He emphasized the importance of cycling in improving public health, reducing carbon emissions, and fostering sustainable communities.

The volunteers expressed their commitment to contributing towards a healthier and greener India by incorporating cycling into their daily routines and encouraging others to do the same. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all volunteers and partner organisations for their support and active participation in making the programme a success.
