RAJOURI: Mera Yuva Bharat Rajouri started an Experiential Learning Program (ELP) with AYUSH today in collaboration with the District Administration Rajouri and Block Doongi, which will run from June 12 to June 18, 2026.

This program serves a dual purpose: promoting traditional healthcare practices among the younger generation and providing essential medical support to the elderly in the community. Youth volunteers participated actively in the session, gaining practical insights into AYUSH-based wellness.

Under the guidance of Medical Officer Dr Mohd Javed, youth volunteers assisted in conducting health check-ups for old-age patients attending the clinic. This hands-on experience allowed the volunteers to learn foundational medical tips and the importance of compassionate care while providing essential health monitoring for the senior citizens of the block.

The session was attended by District Youth Officer Akhil Arya, who oversaw the proceedings and engaged with both the volunteers and the patients. His presence underscored the importance of fostering intergenerational support through youth-led public health initiatives. The program provided the volunteers with actionable guidance on natural healing, preventive wellness and how to apply AYUSH principles to daily life to maintain long-term health benefits.
