• Initiatives promote creativity, social responsibility and public health

BANDIPORA: The Municipal Council (MC) Bandipora on Wednesday organized a series of community-focused activities under Sewa Parv-2025, aimed at encouraging creativity among youth and fostering a spirit of social responsibility and public health awareness. As part of the programme, a painting competition was held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Plan Bandipora. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of students from various schools across the district.

The young artists expressed their creativity through vibrant colors and thoughtful themes, focusing on issues such as environment, cleanliness, and social harmony. The competition not only provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talent but also inspired them to reflect on vital community concerns through art.

In continuation of these efforts, the Municipal Council also organized a blood donation camp at District Hospital Bandipora with the active support of Urban Local Body (ULB) staff and volunteers. A large number of participants, including officials and community members, came forward to donate blood, exemplifying the spirit of service and compassion. Medical professionals guided the donors throughout the process, ensuring utmost safety and care.

Officials from Municipal Council Bandipora appreciated the overwhelming participation of students, staff, and the local community. They stressed the importance of such initiatives in nurturing young talent while simultaneously promoting volunteerism and collective responsibility.
