BANDIPORA: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Bandipora-1, in collaboration with the department of Agriculture and allied sectors, successfully organized a comprehensive awareness programme at Nadihal Panchayat under the flagship initiative Kisan Sampark Abhiyan, a key component of the Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP).

The event aimed to sensitize farmers to Climate-Resilient Farming Practices, introduce scientific agricultural interventions, and create awareness about a range of government schemes and services available to the farming community. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 individuals, including progressive farmers, farm women, rural youth, and students.

Experts from KVK Bandipora-1 conducted technical sessions focusing on sustainable agriculture, market-oriented production systems, and entrepreneurship opportunities in the agri-sector. These sessions emphasized the adoption of modern technologies to boost productivity and farm income.

Officials from the Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, and Fisheries departments provided in-depth information about the latest schemes, input assistance programmes, and capacity-building avenues under JKCIP and other ongoing government initiatives.

Additionally, representatives from financial institutions highlighted the availability of institutional credit, subsidy-linked financial assistance, and streamlined procedures for agricultural loans. The programme concluded with an interactive session, offering a platform for farmers to voice their concerns and seek expert advice on location-specific challenges.
