• Manjit Singh, Tarlok Singh Bajwa laud volunteers; organisers highlight importance of voluntary blood donation

JAMMU: In a commendable initiative aimed at supporting patients in need of blood, senior office-bearer of the J&K Youth Jat Sabha Ranjit Singh Goldy, assisted by General Secretary Rishab Choudhary and Rahul Choudhary, organised a blood donation camp at Primary Health Centre, Rathana Morh, today.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from Jat youth, with 45 units of blood collected during the drive. The initiative was facilitated by the J&K Blood Donor Welfare Association, while the medical team and staff from Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu provided the necessary support for conducting the camp.

The organisers said the initiative was intended to promote a culture of voluntary blood donation among the youth and encourage greater participation in humanitarian activities. They appreciated the volunteers who came forward to donate blood and contribute towards helping patients who may require blood during medical emergencies, surgeries and other critical situations.

To encourage the participating Jat youth and appreciate their contribution, J&K Jat Sabha President Manjit Singh visited the camp. He was accompanied by Chief Patron of J&K Jat Sabha Tarlok Singh Bajwa.

Addressing the gathering, Manjit Singh appreciated the Youth Jat Sabha members and blood donors for organising the camp and making a meaningful contribution to society. He said voluntary blood donation is a noble humanitarian act that strengthens the community's ability to respond to medical emergencies.

He underlined that the importance of blood donation extends beyond the person receiving blood, as the act of donating also creates a sense of social responsibility and compassion among those who come forward to help others.

Manjit Singh urged more young people to participate in such social and humanitarian initiatives and said that youth organisations can play an important role in spreading awareness about voluntary blood donation and other community welfare activities.  Chief Patron Tarlok Singh Bajwa also appreciated the organisers and donors for their participation, stressing the need to continue such initiatives for the benefit of society.

The organisers expressed gratitude to the J&K Blood Donor Welfare Association and the GMC Jammu team for facilitating the camp and providing medical assistance. They also thanked all the donors and volunteers whose participation helped make the blood donation drive successful.
