GANDERBAL: As part of its ongoing efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse and to spread awareness among the youth, J&K Police in collaboration with S.R Theatre Ganderbal and Government Degree College Ganderbal today organised a Drug De-Addiction Awareness Programme at the Conference Hall of Degree College Ganderbal. The event was chaired by SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS.

The Drugs De-Addiction Programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, faculty members, theatre artists, and police officers. During the programme, resource persons highlighted the ill effects of drug addiction on physical and mental health, family well-being, and society at large. They also stressed upon the role of youth in creating a drug-free environment and encouraged students to become ambassadors of change in their communities.

On the occasion, theatre artists from S.R Theatre presented a thought-provoking skit portraying the devastating impact of drug addiction and the importance of seeking timely help through rehabilitation and counselling.

SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS urged the young generation to channelize their energy towards constructive activities such as education, sports, and cultural engagements. He further emphasized that community cooperation is vital to eliminate the threat of drugs from society.
