KULGAM: Reaffirming its commitment towards the welfare and well-being of police personnel, Police in Kulgam, in collaboration with the District Health Department, organised a special medical camp at District Police Lines (DPL) Kulgam.

The camp was organised under the overall supervision of SSP Kulgam, Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS. On the occasion, Addl. SP Kulgam, DySP Headquarters Kulgam, DySP DAR Kulgam and other senior police officers were also present. Their presence encouraged the Jawans and underscored the importance of health as a priority for the force.

During the camp, a team of specialists and medical officers from the Health Department Kulgam conducted thorough health check-ups of the police personnel. The doctors provided general as well as specialist consultations, carried out laboratory investigations, and distributed necessary medicines and supplements free of cost.

In addition to treatment, the camp also focussed on preventive healthcare. Doctors delivered awareness sessions and counselling on lifestyle-related diseases, stress management, nutrition, and preventive measures against common ailments. Police personnel were sensitised about the importance of regular medical check-ups, early detection of illnesses, and adopting healthy practices to maintain physical and mental fitness.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation, with hundreds of Jawans availing the facilities. The initiative was widely appreciated by the personnel, who expressed gratitude towards the police leadership and the Health Department for addressing their healthcare needs.

J&K Police reiterated that such welfare programmes will continue to be organised in the future to ensure the overall well-being of the Jawans, who work tirelessly to maintain peace and security in the district.
