AWANTIPORA: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, a shop belonging to notorious drug peddler Mohd Younis Qureshi son of Mohd Ismail Qureshi, resident of Basmani Bathnoor was demolished in coordination with the concerned civil authorities.

The individual is involved in multiple cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and has been identified as a habitual offender engaged in drug trafficking activities. The demolished structure had been raised illegally and was used as a source of financial gain derived from illicit narcotics related activities.

The action forms part of the sustained efforts of Police and the civil administration to curb the drug menace by targeting the assets and infrastructure of drug peddlers. Such measures are aimed at dismantling the narcotics network, deterring individuals involved in drug trafficking, and ensuring a drug free society. Police reiterate their commitment to continue strict action against drug peddlers and appeal to the public to cooperate in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking.
