DODA: As part of the Public Outreach Programme and on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner and Director Health Services Jammu, the Health Department Doda under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Om Kumar organized a series of medical camps across the district today. The camps were conducted at Village Kota in Medical Block Gandoh and Village Lower Dudhote in Medical Block Ghat under the supervision of the respective Block Medical Officers.

At Kota, the medical camp was organized jointly by the Health Department and the Indian Army, where nearly 250 patients benefited. The health team comprising Dr. Seema Sehar (MO RBSK), Dr. Kamran John (MO RBSK) and Masooda Begum (FMPHW) provided consultations and screening services to the public. Similarly, at Lower Dudhote, a dedicated health team examined around 40 patients. The team included Maher-un-Nisa (MLHP), Meenu Devi (FMPHW) and local ASHAs who actively supported the initiative.

During both camps, free medicines, Oral Rehydration Solutions (ORS) and awareness sessions on health, hygiene and prevention of water-borne diseases were provided to the local population. The initiative aimed to bring healthcare services to the doorsteps of people living in far-flung and underserved areas while promoting preventive health measures and community well-being.
