JAMMU: The Government College of Education (GCOE) today organized a Group Discussion led by M.Ed. students aimed at promoting awareness and inspiring quitting tobacco and other forms of substance abuse. The initiative is part of GCOE’s ongoing commitment to foster a healthy, responsible and drug-free campus environment.

During the discussion, M.Ed. students shared research insights, personal reflections and motivational strategies to help their peers overcome addiction and make positive lifestyle choices.

Participants engaged in an open and empathetic dialogue about the psychological, social and health impacts of substance use, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and peer encouragement.

Such discussions empower students to support one another in leading healthy, purposeful lives,” she said.

The event concluded with students pledging to raise continued awareness about the dangers of tobacco and substance abuse and to extend peer support to anyone seeking help.
