SRINAGAR: In a vibrant and mesmerizing celebration of talent and skill, Dr. Khawaja Renzushah, Chairman of KSI, along with SP Traffic Mr. Aijaz Sahib and renowned veteran martial artists, presided over the prestigious concluding event of the Taekwondo Martial Arts Championship at the Indoor Stadium, Polo View.

Over the past three days, hundreds of young martial artists from various schools across the Kashmir Valley participated in this grand event organized by Mr. Wasim, head of the Taekwondo Martial Arts Championship. The tournament featured a series of exhilarating matches that showcased the exceptional skill and rigorous training of the participants, representing the dynamic youth of Generation Z.

The event culminated in an award ceremony where distinguished guests, including Dr. Khawaja Renzushah, Mr. Aijaz Sahib, and Mr. Tariq Baidaba of the Chamber of Commerce, presented trophies and certificates to the outstanding performers, honoring their hard work and dedication.

In his address, Dr. Khawaja Renzushah celebrated the remarkable talent of the students, particularly emphasizing the achievements of Generation Z in martial arts. He expressed his commitment to supporting scouting and martial arts activities in Jammu and Kashmir as Chief Commissioner of JK Scouts and Hindustan Scouts. He highlighted the inspirational journey of Tajamul Islam, who represented India on the international stage, earning accolades and bringing pride to the nation—especially with the support of the Kashmiri community in advocating for participation in sports previously hindered by two decades of turmoil.

Dr. Renzushah also spoke about the rich cultural heritage of martial arts in Kashmir, tracing its roots back to Sultana Kota Rani, the legendary “Flying Queen” renowned for her mastery of martial arts. He reflected on the teachings of esteemed Sufi saints like Hazrat Bulbul Shah and Hazrat Shah Hamdan, along with revered scholars such as Atri Gupta, Vassu Gupta, and Abhinav Gupta, and Buddhist icons such as Naga Arjun—all of whom emphasized the importance of mental and physical agility in the pursuit of knowledge and wellness.

This event not only marked a celebration of martial arts but also reaffirmed the renaissance of unity and aspiration found in every Kashmiri heart. As the championship concluded, it left a lasting impact, inspiring the youth to strive for excellence in both martial arts and life.
