REASI: Under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Nidhi Malik, Reasi district celebrated the 5th day of the ongoing Sewa Parv 2025 with a series of activities aimed at serving the community and promoting cleanliness, health and social responsibility.

The Rural Development Department (RDD), in collaboration with the Health Department, conducted ā€œSafaiMitra Suraksha Shivirsā€ā€”single-window health check-up and welfare linkage camps for sanitation workers across all blocks of Reasi. These camps ensured health screening, welfare support, and awareness for frontline sanitation workers.

The Municipal Council Reasi carried out a series of initiatives to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness. A major highlight was the transformation of the CTU site at Kambal Danga (Ward No. 1) from a garbage dumping site into a vibrant green zone. Over 3.2 tonnes of waste were cleared, and 35 saplings were planted, creating a healthier and cleaner environment.

As part of community engagement, NSS volunteers actively participated in the Swachhta Internship Programme. They undertook wall painting activities, joined the Ek Saath cleanliness drive, and spread awareness about hygiene and responsible waste management. The Health Department also organized medical camps in different parts of the district, providing free screening, testing and distribution of medicines to ensure better healthcare outreach.

In addition, other departments organized activities as per their activity calendar, ensuring district-wide participation under Seva Parv 2025. The wide participation and successful execution of activities across Reasi reflect the true spirit of Sewa Parv—service, awareness, and collective action towards building a cleaner, healthier and more responsible society.
