• 30 Sub-Division Qualifiers take Centre Stage

BANDIPORA: District Administration Bandipora today hosted the District-Level Finale of the Essay Writing Competition under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, marking the culmination of a structured three-tier competition conducted as part of the ongoing 100-Day Campaign.

The competition followed a three-tier format, with Block-Level and Sub-Division-Level rounds held on May 15 and May 18 respectively. The top 10 participants from each of the district’s 12 blocks progressed to the Sub-Division stage, while 10 students each from Bandipora, Sumbal, and Gurez qualified for today’s District-Level Finale, bringing together 30 finalists.

The finalists presented their written perspectives on the menace of drug abuse, its impact on society, and the collective responsibility of youth in building a drug-free future.

The examination was conducted under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Yaar Ali Khan, and District Information Officer, Aadil Manzoor Wani, who commended the participants for their thoughtful contributions and highlighted the importance of engaging young minds in preventive awareness initiatives. They reiterated the administration’s commitment to youth-centric outreach and awareness programmes under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir campaign.

The District Administration acknowledged the active support of students, teachers, and education authorities across all three Sub-Divisions in ensuring the successful conduct of the competition and reaffirmed its resolve to continue promoting awareness-driven interventions aimed at fostering a drug-free and healthy society.
