The programme was conducted under the guidance Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, and formed an important component of the University's activities under the nationwide 100 Days Nasha Mukt Bharat Campaign.

Organized by the Dean Students’ Welfare, the programme sought to promote a drug-free society, environmental sustainability, physical fitness, and social responsibility among students and scholars. The event reflected the University's commitment towards the national missions of Fit India, Green India, Nasha Mukt Bharat, and Viksit Bharat. The cyclists, representing Education, Law, Information Technology, Engineering, English, Economics and other departments, converged at the Main Campus, Tulmulla, carrying messages advocating Fit India, Green India and Drug-Free India. Throughout the route, participants displayed placards and raised awareness slogans highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse, the importance of physical fitness, environmental conservation, and the role of youth in nation-building.

Upon their arrival at the Main Campus, the cyclists were received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. A. Ravinder Nath, Registrar, Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir, Dean Students’ Welfare, Dr. Jeherul Islam, Youth Welfare Officers, faculty members, officers, research scholars, and students.

He emphasized that the youth of the country possess immense energy, creativity, and transformative potential. Describing students as the true ambassadors of change, he remarked that the responsibility of building a healthier, cleaner, greener, and addiction-free society rests significantly upon the younger generation.  Prof. A Ravinder Nath further noted that cycling symbolizes discipline, environmental responsibility, physical well-being, and sustainable living. He urged students to adopt healthy lifestyles, remain physically active, and become champions of environmental stewardship within their communities.

Speaking on the occasion, Dean DSW, Dr. Jehirul Islam, highlighted the significance of youth-led awareness programmes in addressing pressing societal concerns such as drug abuse, environmental degradation, and declining physical activity among young people.

Youth Welfare Officer, Dr. Firdous Ahmad Sofal, appreciated the participation of students and research scholars from all campuses. The programme concluded with a Sapling Plantation Drive at the Main Campus, Tulmulla, wherein cyclists, students, research scholars, faculty members, officers, and university officials collectively planted saplings as a symbol of their commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
