KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today dedicated an ambulance to the people of the district, donated by the Welspun Group under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The dedication ceremony was held at the DC Office Complex.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the generous contribution of the Welspun Group and extended gratitude for its support in strengthening healthcare facilities at the district level.
“The ambulance will play a vital role in timely evacuation and transportation of patients during medical emergencies, thereby ensuring better outreach and effective service delivery,” the DC said. He further stressed that partnerships under CSR contribute significantly in augmenting public services and complement government efforts in welfare delivery.
The ambulance will be operated by the Health Department to ensure its optimal use for the benefit of patients across the district. On behalf of the donor company, Vice President Welspun Group, Brigadier (Retd) Inderjeet Singh Chauhan formally handed over the keys of the ambulance to the Deputy Commissioner.
