ANANTNAG: Ahead of the World Donor Day-2026, the District Administration Anantnag through Red Cross Society, in collaboration with GMC Anantnag, Health and Ayush Departments, today organized a one day Blood Donation Camp at Dak Bunglalow, Khanabal. Officials from administration, Health Department, GMC Anantnag and AYUSH besides volunteers and regular donors attended the camp.
During the camp, a number of officials, regular donors and volunteers donated blood, upholding the spirit of public service and social responsibility. This noble act reflected their commitment towards a collective cause and in serving the humanity at large.
Urging healthy individuals to come forward for blood donation, the donors said that blood donation is a safe practice which may be done in routine, under proper medical guidance and supervision. They further emphasised the importance of the donated blood in addressing medical emergencies and saving precious human lives.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (Vice-Chairman DRC), expressed gratitude to the donors as well as the technical staff for making the camp a success, adding their support reaffirmed the collective resolve towards public service and social responsibility.
