JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party J&K General Secretary and former Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria inaugurated a one-day free medical health check-up camp at Gangyal and Gadigarh in R.S. Pura-Jammu South Assembly Constituency. This camp was organised by Kunjwani and Gadigarh Mandal of BJP District Jammu South for the benefit of people affected by floods.

In this camp organised under Kunjwani and Gadigarh Mandal, free health consultation, general check-up, blood pressure and sugar screening and essential first aid facilities were provided to the flood affected victims. A team of doctors and health workers participated in the camp and a large number of citizens got immediate consultation on their problems by getting health check-ups done.

While inaugurating the camp, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that health is the greatest wealth and we are trying to provide better health services to the flood victims through free health check-up. He said that our aim is to ensure that every citizen gets accessible and affordable health facilities. He said that during his visit to Jammu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah instructed BJP workers that it would be natural for diseases to increase after the floods in Jammu, so workers should organise free medical health checkup camps in their area.

Billawaria said that even before this, many social and health related programs have been organised by the BJP, whose aim is to improve the living standards of the people. He said that it is the priority of the BJP party that all those who have been affected by this natural disaster should get immediate relief and medical facilities. He said that the Modi government at the Center and BJP workers together will leave no stone unturned to deal with this crisis.

He further said that this campaign is not a limited time event, but such initiatives will be continued regularly so that health awareness and access is improved at the district level. Local citizens appreciated the event and said that such camps save them from expensive tests, medical advice and relief. Ranjeet Singh, Rakesh Sangral, Ajay Pratap Singh, Pushkar Sharma, Rajinder Singh (Poupy), Vicky Bali, Om Nath, Rajat Sharma, Jugal Kishore, Punjab Singh and others were present.
