JAMMU:  Various events and programmes were organized by the Jammu & Kashmir BJP today to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting his lifelong commitment to service, humility and nation-building.

A massive Blood donation campaign was the highlight of the day, symbolizing the beginning of “Seva Pakhwada” (Service Fortnight), which was started from September 17, the Prime Minister’s birthday, to October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Senior BJP leaders Aseem Gupta and Munish Sharma (former VC) attended the events in the Jammu region.

Blood donation camps were set up at various locations, where many volunteers came forward to donate blood. The campaign will continue in the coming days at district and mandal levels to ensure maximum public participation.

Speaking on the occasion, Aseem Gupta said, “The true celebration of Prime Minister Modi’s birthday lies in serving humanity. Blood donation is the highest form of service as it gives life to those in distress, whether in accidents, natural disasters or emergency situations.” Munish Sharma emphasized that Prime Minister Modi’s life has been an example of humility and selfless service.

“Through Seva Pakhwada, we want to instil the same spirit among youth and society at large. Every drop of blood donated today will save lives tomorrow. This culture of service is what strengthens our nation,” he said.

He added that engaging in acts that directly benefit the needy is the most befitting way to celebrate the birthday of a leader who has dedicated himself tirelessly to the people. “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, BJP is determined to create a culture of compassion, seva, and responsibility in every corner of society,” he remarked.
