Speaking on the occasion, DC said that drug abuse is a serious social issue that requires a united response from all sections of society.

He said that the district administration is committed to the rehabilitation and reintegration of individuals affected by substance abuse, and several initiatives have been taken to support victims of drug abuse. He further stressed the need to engage youth, educational institutions at grassroots level in the fight against drugs, adding that awareness and timely intervention can save lives and build a healthier society.

He said the campaign, being conducted across all panchayats of the district, aims to educate and sensitize the public, and mobilize stakeholders to create a drug-free environment in Bandipora.
