POONCH: District Administration Poonch has sealed two medical stores at Mandi after these were found functioning in violation of established norms. During an inspection visit to the Sub-District Hospital, the Assistant Commissioner carried out a surprise inspection of medical shops operating in the immediate vicinity of the hospital to ensure compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory provisions governing the sale of medicines.

During the inspection, it was found that two medical stores—namely, Baba Medical Hall and New Shakeel Medical Hall—were functioning in violation of established norms. Consequently, both shops were sealed on the spot for non-compliance with mandatory guidelines and regulations pertaining to the sale and stocking of pharmaceutical products.

The Assistant Commissioner emphasized the importance of strict adherence to healthcare and pharmaceutical standards, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to ensuring quality medical services and safeguarding public health.
