SOPORE: In continuation of the ongoing anti-drug enforcement drive under the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, police in Sopore carried out action against the wild growth of narcotic plants in the jurisdiction of Police Post Putkha.

On receipt of credible information regarding the presence of wild cannabis (bung) at village Choora, a joint team comprising officials from Police, Excise and Revenue Departments conducted a destruction drive at the said location. During the drive, wild cannabis spread over the area was identified and destroyed on the spot after completing all necessary legal formalities. Samples were also collected and seized for further analysis.
