BHADERWAH: As part of the ongoing awareness initiatives under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), an Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign was organised at Government High School Nagar, Bhaderwah.

During the sessions, resource persons detailed the physical, psychological, social and economic consequences of substance addiction. They stressed the importance of a healthy, drug-free lifestyle, encouraging students to act as ambassadors of positive change within their communities. The speakers also underscored the need for a coordinated approach involving educational institutions, parents and government agencies to ensure early identification, prevention and effective access to rehabilitation services.

The programme concluded with the administration of a pledge by Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Bhaderwah, wherein all participants reaffirmed their commitment towards building a drug-free society and supporting the vision of a ā€œNasha Mukt Bharat.ā€

Among those present were Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Bhaderwah, alongside school faculty, students and representatives from the Health, Education, Sports and Social Welfare departments.
