JAMMU: The campus of Hermann Gmeiner School, Jammu was filled with festive joy and cultural vibrancy as the school organized “Deepotsav 2025 – Diwali & Dandiya Celebration” with great enthusiasm. The event beautifully reflected the essence of Diwali — spreading light, happiness, and togetherness among all.
The celebration began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Advocate Neha Mahajan, President BJP Mahila Morcha J&KUT, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, along with Mr. Mudassar, SDPO Domana, Principal Shakun Choudhary, and senior staff members including Raina Sir. This auspicious beginning symbolized the victory of light over darkness and wisdom over ignorance.

She said that festivals like Deepotsav strengthen our cultural roots, nurture young minds with positivity and respect for traditions, and promote the spirit of unity in society — in line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s ‘Viksit Bharat’.
The vibrant celebration featured Ramleela, Dandiya Dance, Live DJ & Entertainment with RJ Tani, Games, Fun Stalls, and Delicious Food Counters, making it a delightful day for everyone.

She remarked, “Deepotsav is not just a festival of lights, but a celebration of knowledge, compassion, and unity. We are proud of our students who displayed immense talent and enthusiasm.”
The event not only showcased the festive grandeur of Diwali but also reflected the school’s commitment towards holistic education by encouraging students to celebrate culture along with learning. It served as a reminder of India’s rich heritage where tradition and modernity blend to create harmony and national pride.
