• From national leaders and Nobel laureates to sporting champions, entrepreneurs and celebrated cultural figures, Lovely Professional University’s distinguished campus engagements reflect its endeavour to connect education with real world experiences and diverse perspectives.

NEW DELHI: As Lovely Professional University (LPU) marks 25 years of its journey in higher education, its distinguished visitor portfolio reflects a campus experience that extends beyond classrooms, connecting students with personalities and ideas shaping politics, science, sports, business and culture.

Among the prominent national leaders associated with LPU’s campus engagements are Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former President of India Late. Pranab Mukherjee, former Vice-President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu, Vice-President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan, and National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nitin Nabin. International political figures, including former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss and former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, further reflect the university’s engagement with leadership and global affairs.

The university’s visitor portfolio spans entertainment, sports and popular culture, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood, Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Aujla, alongside cricketing stars M. S. Dhoni and Ishan Kishan. Sporting and national achievements are also represented by Olympic javelin champion Neeraj Chopra, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, Indian Air Force officer and astronaut, whose journeys span sport, national service and space exploration.

Entrepreneurship and business leadership feature prominently through Srikanth Bolla, Bollant Industries; Dr. Arokiaswamy Velumani, Founder of Thyrocare Technologies; Niranjan Hiranandani, Co-founder of the Hiranandani Group; Ankur Warikoo, entrepreneur, author and content creator; Vineeta Singh, Co-founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics; and Aman Gupta, Co-founder of boAt. Their journeys offer perspectives on business building, innovation and navigating evolving professional landscapes.

LPU’s engagement with science, education and spiritual thought includes Dr. V. Narayanan, Chairman of ISRO and Secretary, Department of Space; Nobel laureate F. Duncan M. Haldane; Nobel laureate Avram Hershko; the 14th Dalai Lama; Gaur Gopal Das, spiritual speaker and author; Jaya Kishori, spiritual orator; and Khan Sir, educator and knowledge communicator. Their diverse fields reflect the breadth of perspectives that can enrich a university environment.

Scientific exchange has been a significant part of LPU’s academic engagements. During the 106th Indian Science Congress hosted at the university, Nobel laureates Avram Hershko and F. Duncan M. Haldane delivered lectures to delegates. Hershko shared the 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discoveries concerning protein degradation, while Haldane shared the 2016 Nobel Prize in Physics for theoretical discoveries relating to topological phases of matter. Their participation brought internationally recognised research into an academic setting, highlighting the value of engaging with pioneering scientific ideas.

These engagements reflect how campus visits can complement formal education by exposing students to diverse career paths, professional journeys and real-world experiences. Interactions with leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs, athletes and creative professionals can broaden perspectives, encourage curiosity and help students connect academic learning with opportunities beyond their chosen specialisations.

As LPU completes 25 years, its journey reflects the importance of experiences that extend beyond academic programmes and infrastructure. The university continues to emphasise experiential learning, innovation, industry engagement and global exposure as part of its wider vision of an education revolution. As it enters its next chapter, LPU aims to create an environment where academic learning and meaningful engagement with the wider world prepare students to approach the future with knowledge, confidence and ambition.
