HANDWARA: In a significant initiative to strengthen police-public relations and ensure responsive policing, Police in Handwara conducted Thana Diwas/Lok Darbar within the jurisdictions of Police Stations Handwara, Vilgam, Kralgund and Qalamabad.
During the programmes, police officers interacted with local residents, listened to their grievances and suggestions, and assured them of prompt redressal of genuine public issues. The participants were encouraged to maintain close coordination with the police and actively contribute towards maintaining peace, public order and security in their respective areas.
Police reiterated its commitment to people-friendly policing, transparent grievance redressal, and stronger community engagement, assuring the public that their concerns would be addressed on priority.
