- Skill development and career counselling campaign to reach various districts across Madhya Pradesh
BHOPAL | AISECT, an organisation working in the fields of skill development and higher education for over four decades, flagged off its Kaushal Vikas Yatra 2026 from Scope Global Skills University (SGSU), Bhopal, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The initiative aims to connect students, youth, and trainees associated with AISECT centres with information on skill development, career counselling, and employment-oriented training programmes. The campaign is an important step towards preparing young people for evolving technological requirements and emerging employment opportunities.
Organised by AISECT, the journey will reach various districts of Madhya Pradesh, engaging students, young people, and educational institutions. As per the scheduled programme, the campaign will cover different districts through the Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Katni, Chhatarpur, and Shahdol regional routes. It aims to create awareness among students of schools, colleges, and other educational institutions about the importance of skill development, career options, and available training programmes.
On the occasion, Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University, said, âIn today's rapidly changing world, academic knowledge alone is not sufficient; students must also develop technical expertise and practical skills. AISECT's Kaushal Vikas Yatra is an important initiative to familiarise young people with future technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and digital skills. Such initiatives help students recognise their abilities, make informed career choices, and prepare for emerging employment opportunities.â
Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Singh, Vice-Chancellor of SGSU, said, âThe purpose of education is not only to impart knowledge but also to prepare students for real-life and professional challenges. Skill development, career counselling, and industry-oriented training have become essential components of the modern education system. AISECT's journey will provide students with an opportunity to understand the importance of skill-based education and plan their careers more effectively. We believe this campaign will encourage young people to learn, innovate, and become self-reliant.â
Dr. Sitesh Kumar Sinha, Registrar of SGSU, said, âThe Kaushal Vikas Yatra is an effective platform for strengthening interaction among students, educational institutions, and training centres. Career counselling helps young people explore training and employment options based on their interests and abilities. Awareness of AI and other emerging technologies is particularly important for today's students. Such campaigns can help extend skill-based education to a wider audience and prepare young people for the requirements of the future.â
Mr. Rajesh Panda, Senior Manager â National Network, AISECT India, said, âThe Kaushal Vikas Yatra is an important initiative to extend skill-based education and training opportunities to students and young people through AISECT's nationwide network. Our objective is not limited to providing information about courses; we also aim to guide young people towards opportunities that align with their interests, abilities, and career aspirations. Through this campaign, we seek to engage with students and educational institutions across different regions and strengthen awareness about future skills, digital technologies, and employment-oriented training, enabling more young people to enhance their competencies and prepare for emerging career opportunities.â
Special Focus on Future Skills and AI Literacy
Considering the growing importance of artificial intelligence (AI), digital technologies, and rapid changes across industries, the journey will place special emphasis on introducing students to skills relevant to the future. The campaign will encourage young people to develop technical competencies, identify the skills required for employment, and explore career options aligned with their interests and abilities.
Depending on the activities scheduled at various destinations, seminars, workshops, career counselling sessions, and information sessions on training programmes will be organised. These activities will help students understand the role of skill development and recognise the importance of practical and employment-oriented training alongside higher education.
