• 32nd day discourse focuses on Devayan Marg, sattvic living, and ultimate aim of Moksha

YOL (HIMACHAL PRADESH), The ongoing 78-day Vedic Yajna dedicated to the systematic study, chanting, and spiritual reflection on the four Vedas at Ved Mandir, Yol, continued its sacred proceedings on the 32nd day with an enlightening discourse by Yogacharya Swami Ram Swarup Ji.The Yajna, which has been attracting a steady gathering of devotees, spiritual seekers, and Vedic learners, is being conducted with the aim of reviving and promoting Vedic teachings, disciplined living, and spiritual awareness rooted in ancient Indian wisdom.

During his address, Swami Ram Swarup Ji elaborated on Atharvaveda Mantra 5/12/10, explaining that the Supreme Being has guided humanity to follow the “Devanam Patha,” also known as the Devayan Marg — the path of divine virtues and liberation. He emphasized that this path is not merely ritualistic, but a way of life based on truth, righteousness, self-discipline, compassion, and constant remembrance of God.He urged devotees to integrate Vedic principles into daily conduct, highlighting that regular worship and remembrance of the Almighty help purify the mind and strengthen moral values. The Yogacharya also underlined the importance of a sattvic (pure and balanced) diet, stating that food plays a crucial role in shaping one’s thoughts, behavior, and spiritual progress.

Referring to Rigveda Mantra 10/18/1, Swami Ji explained the concept of life and death as described in Vedic philosophy. He said that “Kaal” (time) represents the cycle of mortality that repeatedly binds human beings to birth and death. However, those who sincerely follow the Devayan path are guided toward a spiritually elevated life and are blessed with completeness and fulfillment by the Supreme Being. He further stated that the true purpose of human existence, according to the Vedas, is to progress toward Moksha (liberation). In this state, the soul is freed from all suffering, ignorance, and cycles of rebirth, and attains eternal peace and bliss in divine proximity.

Drawing a distinction between spiritual and worldly paths, Swami Ram Swarup Ji referred to Atharvaveda Mantra 12/2/10 and explained the concept of the “Pitrayana Marg.” He described it as a worldly cycle driven by material desires such as anger, greed, ego, attachment, and indulgence in impure practices. According to him, this path binds the soul to repeated cycles of birth, life, and death without spiritual liberation. He cautioned devotees that while the Pitrayana path revolves around material pursuits like earning, family life, and worldly accumulation, it ultimately does not lead to God-realization. Instead, it keeps the soul entangled in suffering and ignorance.

Concluding his discourse, Swami Ji urged seekers to reflect deeply on the purpose of human birth and consciously choose the Devayan path, which is centered on truth, discipline, devotion, and spiritual upliftment. He said that the Vedas consistently guide humanity toward liberation and inner peace, encouraging individuals to rise above material limitations and align their lives with divine principles. The ongoing Yajna at Ved Mandir continues to serve as a platform for Vedic learning and spiritual discourse, reinforcing traditional values and philosophical understanding among participants.
