NEW DELHI: Reinforcing its commitment to strengthening industry-oriented technical education and building a future-ready manufacturing workforce, Jindal Stainless has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Haryana State Board of Technical Education (HSBTE), Panchkula, for a further period of three years. The renewed partnership aims to continue promoting technical education and skill development in the field of stainless steel applications and manufacturing.

The MoU was signed by Secretary, HSBTE, Dr Rajesh Goel and Unit Head – Hisar, Jindal Stainless, Mr Vijay Bindlish at the HSBTE office in Panchkula in the presence of Head – Stainless Academy, Jindal Stainless, Ms Bhavna Chopra Srikrishna;Function Head – HR (Hisar), Jindal Stainless, Mr Prahlad Singh Choudhary; Chief of Accounts & Finance, HSBTE, Mr Hitesh Kumar Arora;and Deputy Secretary, HSBTE, Mr B. S. Sangwan.

As part of the renewed scope, Jindal Stainless’ Stainless Academy will expand the stainless steel elective programme to an additional Government Polytechnic institute in Haryana. The next phase of the partnership will also focus on strengthening practical learning infrastructure through laboratory upgradation initiatives.

Commenting on the renewal of the MoU, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal, said, “At Jindal Stainless, we believe that strengthening India’s manufacturing future begins in the classroom. Commenting on the development, Unit Head– Hisar, Jindal Stainless, Mr Vijay Bindlish, said, “Over the last few years, we have seen the benefits of aligning institutional learning for students with industry requirements. With this renewed collaboration, we will continue to work towards creating stronger technical understanding of stainless steel and its applications at the polytechnic level, while providing greater industry exposure to students.We also look forward to expanding the programme footprint and creating more opportunities for hands-on learning in the next phase.”

Under the ongoing partnership, a 45-hour stainless steel elective programme is currently being conducted at Government Polytechnic, Hisar through sessions led by Jindal Stainless engineers, while a compulsory stainless steel module is being taught across government polytechnics in Haryana as part of the curriculum.Since inception, the programme has trained and upskilled over 5,500 students under the HSBTE collaboration.

As part of its Stainless Academy initiative, Jindal Stainless has trained over 9,000 students across engineering colleges, government polytechnics, and ITIs, while also upskilling more than 80,000 fabricators across India through various training and capability-building programmes.

Through itsindustry-led skilling, curriculum integration, institutional partnerships, and capability development initiatives, Stainless Academyaims to bridge critical gaps across all levels of workforce pyramid and support the growing requirements of India’s manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.
