UDHAMPUR: Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting with officers of the line departments to review the progress of developmental works at Government Medical College Udhampur. He also reviewed the functioning of the GMC, including staff position and vacancies.
During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on progress of works, including the construction of RCC nallah and storm water drains at GMC Baili, creation of posts for the Government Nursing College, filling up of vacant posts for the smooth functioning of the premier Health institution, installation of solar lights along the internal roads of GMC and construction of boundary walls at Baili.
The DC also reviewed the status of drinking water and electricity supply at GMC Baili and stressed the need for ensuring uninterrupted essential services. The shifting of the Government ITI College and transfer of the Tribal Hostel building at village Baili also came up for discussion. The DC instructed the officers to complete all works within the stipulated timelines. He further emphasized the removal of bottlenecks hampering progress.
