JAMMU: Director, Animal Husbandry Jammu Dr. Sanjay Gupta today conducted a field tour of Ramban and Udhampur to review the functioning of the department in the twin districts.
During the first leg of the visit, the Director along with Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr. Rajesh Arora inspected the status of the under construction CAHO office complex and Sub Unit Veterinary Hospital at Ramban. The project is being executed under the UT-Capex.
Later, the Director chaired a meeting of officers and staff to review the progress of the flagship schemes including the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district.
In Udhampur, the Director along with Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr. Shwetambari Khajuria assessed the progress under Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) project and other departmental schemes in the district.
The Director also inspected the progress of work on the Government Poultry Farm-cum-Residential complex and the Modern Hatchery being constructed under HADP. The Director emphasized timely completion of projects to strengthen the livestock healthcare infrastructure and service delivery for the betterment of the farming community.
