CHANDIGARH: Aryans Institute of Nursing, Rajpura near Chandigarh celebrated International Nurses Day with great enthusiasm by organizing an Oath Ceremony, motivational sessions and colourful cultural activities at the campus. Students of B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic Nursing, GNM and ANM participated actively in the celebration and took the Nurses Pledge, reaffirming their commitment towards patient care, professional ethics, compassion and humanity.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, appreciated the efforts and dedication of nurses towards society and said that nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system. He stated that with the rapid expansion of healthcare services globally, the demand for trained nurses and healthcare workers is increasing tremendously, opening wide career opportunities for nursing students. He added that Aryans Group is committed to providing quality healthcare education and practical exposure to prepare competent and responsible healthcare professionals for the nation.

The programme was graced by renowned healthcare experts and dignitaries including Dr. Deepak Puri, Chairman Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery India & Global Chairman Cardiomersion, who conducted an interactive workshop on “Lifestyle Fitness and Stress Management for Healthcare Professionals” along with the nursing team of Paras Health. Manpreet Kaur Sidhu, Nursing Superintendent, Clear Medi Bahra Multispeciality & Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Director Principal, College of Nursing, Lamrin Tech Skill University were also special guest.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Deepak Puri emphasized that nursing is one of the noblest professions and healthcare professionals must maintain both physical fitness and mental wellness to serve patients effectively. Manpreet Kaur Sidhu motivated the students to work with empathy, patience and dedication, stating that compassionate care is the true identity of a successful nurse. Dr. Rajinder Kaur highlighted the importance of discipline, ethics and continuous learning in the nursing profession and encouraged students to upgrade their practical and communication skills regularly.

On the occasion, a special recruitment drive was also organized by Paras Health for Nursing pass out students, providing career opportunities and guidance to aspiring healthcare professionals. Faculty members and students participated enthusiastically throughout the programme, making the celebration memorable and inspiring for all attendees. The event also featured skits, dance performances and a special Rangoli themed awareness presentation by the students highlighting healthcare and social awareness.
