- India marching towards global superpower status under PM Modi: Dr. Pardeep
JAMMU: As India steadily advances towards the goal of Viksit Bharat, emerging as a decisive economic and strategic superpower, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership continues to earn unprecedented global recognition, said Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge, J&K BJP. Dr. Pardeep stated that India’s growing influence in global trade, diplomacy and strategic partnerships reflects a long-term national vision that will deliver enduring benefits to every citizen and firmly position Bharat among the world’s leading powers.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra lauded Prime Minister Modi for being conferred the highest civilian award of the Sultanate of Oman, calling it a proud moment for the nation and a clear validation of India’s rising stature on the global stage. He noted that this honour from Oman adds to a long list of international recognitions received by PM Modi from several countries, particularly from the majority of the Gulf nations, showcasing the trust and respect India commands worldwide.
He emphasized that Prime Minister Modi has become the only global leader to receive top civilian honours from five out of six Gulf nations, a rare distinction that highlights the success of India’s people-centric and interest-driven foreign policy. According to Dr. Pardeep, these honours are not merely symbolic, but reflect India’s enhanced role as a reliable partner in global peace, trade and development.
Dr. Pardeep said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is working with a clear, long-term roadmap to strengthen the nation and its citizens in a multi-factorial manner, integrating economic expansion, strategic partnerships, national security and social empowerment. He asserted that every initiative of the Modi government is designed to have far-reaching and lasting benefits, ensuring inclusive growth and national resilience as India moves towards Viksit Bharat.
Highlighting recent economic diplomacy, he said the honour from Oman comes soon after the signing of the India–Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) on December 18, 2025, a landmark pact that will significantly boost Indo-Gulf economic ties. The agreement, Oman’s first FTA in nearly two decades, provides zero-duty access for over 98 percent of Indian exports, expands market access and accelerates investment flows, directly benefiting farmers, traders, exporters and businesses.
Dr. Pardeep pointed out that from the UAE and Australia to the UK and now Oman, India’s FTA engine is firing on all cylinders under PM Modi’s decisive leadership. These agreements demonstrate India’s transformation into a major global economic force and reinforce its role as a key pillar of international trade and strategic cooperation.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra further added that the world today clearly recognizes Bharat’s pivotal and prominent role in shaping global economic and strategic outcomes. He said Prime Minister Modi’s leadership has ensured that India is not only heard, but respected globally, firmly setting the nation on an irreversible path towards becoming a developed, self-reliant and powerful Viksit Bharat.
