ANANTNAG: The People’s Hut Foundation (PHF), in collaboration with Ujala Cygnus Hospital Amandeep BR Medicity J&K, successfully hosted a comprehensive "Free Multi-Specialty Medical Camp" today at Panchayat Park, Hardu Akad, Anantnag. The initiative, designed to deliver high-quality healthcare to vulnerable populations, successfully served 697 patients, with a specialized focus on the elderly, women, and children. The medical camp serves as a core component of the foundation's "Mobile Health Clinic Program," a dedicated effort aimed at enhancing healthcare accessibility across Jammu & Kashmir.

The camp was Hosted and coordinated by Eminent Social Worker and Youth Icon Sh. Muktesh Yogi along with his youth Brigade from Mattan and adjoining area.The event was meticulously organized under the guidance and leadership of Dr. Rohit Koul, Director and CEO of People's Hut Foundation. 

Socio Political Activist Mohd Yousuf Sofi who also coordinated the camp urged the residents to fully utilize the services, noting that the overwhelming response highlights the critical need to bridge the gap between specialized facilities and the communities that struggle to access them. He also assured  support for future initiatives catering to underprivileged sections of society.

Through a powerful collaborative effort, the local population was provided access to a wide array of specialist consultations and treatments, overcoming geographical and financial barriers to quality care. Services included internal medicine, general physicians, orthopedics, Yoga, Opthomologits, Obs. and Gynaecology, comprehensive eye screenings, on-site diagnostic testing, and the distribution of free Ayush and allopathic medicines. The success of the camp was heavily bolstered by the participation of premier healthcare institutions.

Amandeep Hospital provided specialist doctors Dr. Abdul Rashid Dar (General Physician), Dr. Sheikh Reyaz (Urologist) and Dr. Rimsha (Opthomologist) and  coordinated by Group Marketing Head Mr. Deepak Saini, while Department of Health Kashmir was represented by Dr. Mushtaq Majid services under the guidance of Dr. Prashant Verma. The Directorate of Ayush provided Ayush and Health Care wellness services, represented by Medical Officer Dr. Narender Singh Bali, Yoga Therapist Dr. Asim Amin Palla, Junior Pharmacist Ad. Hamid Baba and Yoga Instructor Taskeen Jaan.

The community Heads emphasized that such endeavors provide immediate medical relief while strengthening the bond and fostering trust between local communities and non-profit organizations. They commended the on-site specialist consultations as a significant step toward making quality care a reality. The camp volunteers who made it a great success  and also helped in the patient mobilization included Ashutosh Pandit, Kulwinder Bali, Murtuza Bashir, Rafiq Magray, Mukhtar Bhat, Muzafar Ahmed Malik, Nisar Nengroo, Azaad Ahmed Parray, Veer Israr and others. 

Camp Host and Coordinator Sh. Muktesh Yogi concluded the event by acknowledging the humanitarian commitment of the People’s Hut Foundation. He noted that through its "Mobile Health Clinic Program" and ongoing community outreach, the NGO consistently strives to ensure education, well-being, and accessible healthcare for all citizens in underserved regions.

He added PHF Operating extensively within Jammu & Kashmir,  is deeply committed to humanitarian work, social welfare, and community empowerment, spearheading critical initiatives such as the Mobile Health Clinic Program to provide sustainable healthcare access to remote and underserved populations.
