KULGAM: Under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, J&K Police intensified anti-narcotics measures across the district Kulgam and carried out action against drug related activities.
Acting on specific information a team of Police Station Behibagh detected illicit cultivation of poppy plants in the premises of one Fayaz Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Gaffar Mir resident of Hatipora. The illicit poppy cultivation was immediately destroyed in presence of executive magistrate on the spot and accordingly a case vide FIR No. 28/2026 U/S 8/18 NDPS act has been registered at police station Behibagh. Investigation into the matter has been taken up.
