JAMMU: As part of Hindi Fortnight-2026, a ‘Signature Campaign in Hindi’ was organized today at the Central University of Jammu with the objective of creating awareness about Hindi and encouraging its wider use in everyday life and official work.

Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the campaign by signing in Hindi and encouraged the University’s  officers, faculty members, staff, and students to make greater use of Hindi in their day-to-day activities.

On the occasion, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor also released ‘Sharada’, the wall magazine of the Department of Hindi and Other Indian Languages. The wall magazine seeks to provide a platform for the creative expressions of students and members of the University community while showcasing the rich traditions, literature, and cultural diversity of Indian languages.

He emphasized that respect for and promotion of Hindi, along with other Indian languages, would further enrich the country’s linguistic heritage. He called upon the students and employees of the University to make greater use of Hindi in their daily activities.
