JAMMU: As part of the ongoing Hindi Pakhwada-2026 celebrations at the Central University of Jammu, a Hindi Quiz Competition was organized today for the employees of the University. The competition aimed to promote interest and awareness of the Hindi language among employees and to enhance their knowledge of Hindi language and literature, Indian culture, and Official Language-related matters through an engaging and competitive platform.

Under the leadership and guidance of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Jain, the use, promotion, and propagation of Hindi at the University have received continuous encouragement in recent years. Under his guidance, various activities and programmes have been promoted with the objective of strengthening the effective use of Hindi in the academic and administrative environment of the University.

The Hindi Quiz Competition organized for employees as part of Hindi Pakhwada is an important step in this endeavour. In accordance with the vision of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, the programmes under Hindi Pakhwada-2026 are not being confined merely to formal observance. Special emphasis is being placed on active participation of employees, developing interest in Hindi, and encouraging the use of Hindi in official work.

Employees from various departments and sections of the University participated enthusiastically in the competition. The quiz comprised questions related to Hindi language and literature, Indian culture, the Constitution and Official Language Hindi, the history of Hindi, and general knowledge. The participants displayed considerable enthusiasm and demonstrated their knowledge and talent throughout the competition.

The primary objective of the competition was to promote the understanding that the effective implementation of Official Language Hindi is possible not merely through compliance with rules, but through the active participation, interest, and positive attitude of employees. Activities such as quizzes play an important role in connecting employees with Hindi in an engaging manner and in creating a conducive environment for the use of Hindi in official work.

The competition witnessed an enthusiastic response from the employees. The participants demonstrated their knowledge and promptness while answering the questions. The competition was successfully conducted under the supervision of Dr. Shashikant, Head, Department of Hindi. The winners of the competition will be presented certificates and prizes during the Valedictory and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Hindi Pakhwada-2026.
