RAMBAN: A community awareness programme was organised today under the 9th Rashtriya Poshan Maah at Poshan Project Gool.  District Programme Officer (DPO) Abdul Qayoom and ZEPO Gool graced the occasion.

At the outset, local CDPO Bashir Ahmed presented a brief overview of the programme, followed by an informative awareness session conducted by Supervisors on the five key themes of this year’s Poshan Maah.

Speaking on the occasion, the DPO highlighted the vital role of Anganwadi Workers at the grassroots level.  He appreciated their contribution towards improving nutrition, strengthening Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), supporting mothers and children and contributing to the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

The Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) briefed the gathering about various schemes and services being provided through Anganwadi Centres, highlighting their important role in promoting nutrition, health, early childhood care and education and community awareness.

The AWWs also presented ECCE-focused rhymes and activities, creating an engaging and joyful learning environment for children. The Supervisors demonstrated various play-based learning activities. The same were enthusiastically followed by the children, underscoring the importance of joyful and activity-based learning at the Anganwadi level. A health camp for children was also organised to assess their health and well-being, followed by the distribution of baby kits among nursing mothers.
