JAMMU: Chief Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL Jammu has informed that the power supply to Talab Tillo, Bohri, Machellian, Udheywala, Marh, Gajansoo and adjoining areas will remain affected on October 22 from 6 am to 11 am. Similarly, the power supply to Kootah, Saida, Surara, Nichla, Chan Moriana and adjoining areas will remain affected on October 22 from 7 am to 3 pm.

Likewise, the power supply to Nagri Town, Khokyal, Saidpur, Airwan, Jarmal and adjoining areas will remain affected on October 23 from 7 am to 2 pm. Similarly, the power supply to Bajalta and adjoining areas will remain affected on October 23 from 8 am to 12 noon. Likewise, the power supply to Green Belt, Parts of Gandhi Nagar and adjoining areas will remain affected on October 23 from 7 am to 11 am.

Similarly, the power supply to Garhi Malhar, Nadey Da Ghair, Kothi Rehni, Rada Da Kote, Manpa, Dhanori, Badali, Nainsoo and Indira Colony will remain affected on October 22 from 10 am to 5 pm. Likewise, the power supply to PTC will remain affected on October 24 and 26 from 10 am to 5 pm and October 27 from 9 am to 3 pm.

Meanwhile, Executive Engineer, Elect Division-I, JPDCL Parade Jammu has informed that the power supply to LT Lines Gujjar Nagar-I, Gujjar Nagar-II, Gujjar Nagar-III, Gujjar Nagar-IV, Near DPS School-I, Near DPS School-II and Near DPS School-III will remain affected on October 22 to November 05 (on Alternate Days) from 8 am to 3 pm.

Dr. Ranjan was a rare and noble soul—humble, compassionate, intellectually brilliant and always willing to help others. A visionary thinker, he believed in using knowledge and abilities to make a meaningful difference. His influence lives on through the people he guided, the work he inspired and the countless lives he touched.

We at JK Monitor are profoundly saddened by the sudden demise of our Founding Chairman, Dr. Priya Ranjan. IN LOVING MEMORY Dr Priya Ranjan

A brilliant mind who studied at Netarhat Residential School and graduated in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur before earning his PhD from the University of Maryland, Dr. Ranjan chose to return to India and dedicate his life to teaching, research and social good.

His pioneering work in networked systems, AI, robotics and biomedical applications—especially computer-vision tools for early detection of cancer and heart disease—reflected his deep belief that advanced technology must serve humanity.

For more than 15 years at JK Monitor, he remained a loyal friend, mentor and collaborator, marked by rare humility, intellectual integrity and quiet generosity. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled. Priya, you will be deeply missed. Your life continues to remind us that knowledge finds its highest purpose in the service of others.
