SAMBA: Rich Harvest School celebrated the auspicious festival of Dussehra with great enthusiasm and traditional fervour, spreading the timeless message of the victory of good over evil. The celebration highlighted the significance of Dussehra, which commemorates the victory of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana and symbolises the triumph of truth, righteousness and justice over arrogance, greed and evil. The festival also marks the victory of Goddess Durga over Mahishasura, representing the power of good to overcome negative forces.

The highlight of the celebration was the burning of the effigies of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhakarna, symbolising the destruction of evil and the reaffirmation of faith in truth and righteousness. The sight served as a powerful reminder that no matter how strong evil may appear, goodness and truth ultimately prevail.

Addressing the gathering, Mrs Ruchi Charak, Director of Rich Harvest School, shared a few inspiring words on the significance of Dussehra. She emphasised that the festival is not merely about burning effigies but also about overcoming the Ravana within ourselves—the negative qualities of ego, anger, greed and dishonesty. She encouraged everyone to imbibe the values of Lord Rama and strive to become better human beings by practising kindness, discipline, humility and compassion in their daily lives.

The celebration concluded with a renewed commitment to uphold moral values and follow the path of truth, peace and righteousness. Rich Harvest School continues to nurture its students by blending cultural traditions with meaningful life lessons, helping them grow into responsible, compassionate and value-driven citizens.
