DODA: Reaffirming its commitment to extend quality healthcare services to rural communities, a free Medical Camp under MMU was organised at Village Aul in Medical Block Ghat.

The camp witnessed an encouraging response from the local population. More than 200 locals were examined and provided medical consultations for various ailments. Screening tests were also conducted to facilitate the early detection of health conditions and promote timely medical intervention.

As part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen preventive healthcare, TB screening and awareness activities were also carried out during the camp. The medical team sensitised the local population about tuberculosis, the importance of early diagnosis, timely treatment and the need to seek medical assistance in case of symptoms suggestive of TB.

In addition to clinical services, health awareness activities were conducted to promote the rational use of medicines and discourage drug misuse. The beneficiaries were also sensitised about the JK SEHAT App, highlighting its utility in accessing healthcare-related services and information.

The medical team comprised Dr. Hamid Parray, Dr. Touseef Aslam, Dr. Muneeza Iqbal, Dr. Younis Saleem (MLHP) and Swami Raj from the MMU team. The team collectively contributed to the successful conduct of the camp through patient consultations, screening services and community health education.

The camp was organised under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Vinod Sharma and the supervision of Block Medical Officer Ghat Dr. Abdul Gafoor, with the objective of extending essential healthcare services to people at their doorstep.
